The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the higher number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office devoted to service the area daily. The support point made for intervention status sassa encounters a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
