The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration status sassa Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The provider place produced for intervention encounters a superior influx sassa of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to enable the servicing of all consumers and increase entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
